HERLINDA PRILSILIA SUTIONO
FOUNDER AND TEACHER'S PROFILE
Herlinda graduated from Tarumanagara University in Jakarta with a Bachelor's Degree in Economic Management and studied classical ballet at the age of 6, has attained not only a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, but also achieved Vocational Level in Ballet Dance awarded by Royal Academy of Dance ("RAD").
Herlinda came to Singapore in 2004 and was employed with OKH Ballet Centre. During her employment with OKH Ballet Centre, Herlinda taught a wide range of classes in Ballet, ranging from Pre-School in Dance up to Advanced 1. Under her tutorledge, 100% of her students passed their ballet exams, out of which mostly attained Distinction. She has total of 29 years of teaching experience to date.
Apart from specializing in Ballet Teaching, Herlinda has also learnt other types of dance, including Jazz, Tap Dance, Character Dance and Flamenco. As a motivating and passionate ballet teacher, Herlinda has in the course of her career choreographed various dance performances, for ballet competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival, and has attained the Bronze award for 2 consecutive years. She has introduced ballet to various schools and community clubs; her greatest motivation lies in grooming of young dancers.
Herlinda has also choreographed dance items for events such as the Sarah Jessica Parker's "Lovely" Perfume product launch. Participation in the RAD Dance Gala Performance and Dance Competition to raise funds for the prestigious Genee Awards which was held in Singapore on 13 August 2009. A more recent participation is the Asian Grand Prix Regional Ballet Competition in Singapore on 11 March 2018, her student has won 2nd place for Pre-Competitive 1 Division and awarded an entry to the Asian Grand Prix 2018 Final Competition from 13th to 17th August 2018 at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong.
Herlinda is presently a ballet teacher, RAD mentor for Certificate in Ballet Teaching Programme (CBTS) and founder of Angelsstage Ballet Academy.
Angelsstage Ballet Academy is a PA Operator under the People's Association and has assignments with various community centres located in various parts of Singapore.
CHUA RUI SI RACHEL
TEACHER'S PROFILE
Rachel graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management with Merit. Complimenting her academic pursuits, she has attained not only a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) but also achieved the Vocational Level in Ballet Dance awarded by the Royal Academy of Dance (“RAD”).
Rachel’s journey in the world of dance began at the age of 6, ignited by an enduring passion for ballet under the tutelage of Ms Herlinda. She became an Assistant Ballet Teacher under the mentorship of Ms Herlinda in 2021. Upon receiving her CBTS in 2023, she started co-teaching under the Angelsstage Ballet Academy and even choreographed performance pieces for the ballet concert held in 2023.
In addition to ballet, her dance repertoire extends to Hip Hop and Contemporary styles, which she was exposed to in Secondary School and has participated in numerous dance competitions. Competitions include placing Top 3 in The Royal Dance Off and Distinction in the Singapore Youth Festival. With her passion for dancing, she delved into K-pop choreographies which are self-taught.
